Terms and Conditions
Conditions of Sale and Business Arrangements
All orders are accepted by us, SIT UK LTD., trading as Peach, The Chair Shop and the Ergonomic Office (hereinafter called “the Company”) subject to the following terms and conditions. No representative of the Company is authorised to vary or add to the said terms and conditions.
Terms of Payment
Goods may only be ordered upon payment of a non-refundable 25% deposit or receipt of an accepted written order. Payment of the balance is due before delivery or in cases of official orders, within 30 days of delivery.
Overdue Accounts
Interest will be charged from the day the invoice becomes overdue at a rate of 3% above bank base rate.
Orders
Goods supplied to order cannot be exchanged or refunded.
Delivery
Approximate delivery dates are given as guidelines only. The Company does not accept any responsibility for any delay due to causes beyond its reasonable control. Delivery to our customers is free of charge within 50 miles of Newcastle upon Tyne. Charges apply outside of this area. Delivery will be arranged by telephone when your order is ready.
Access
Please ensure that access is clear and adequate and space for your new furniture has been cleared of all other items before delivery, i.e. move ornaments, etc., out of the way. It is your responsibility to check that all items ordered will fit through doors and passageways. We cannot accept responsibility for any damage occurring to your home or its contents by our staff at the time of delivery
Storage
Following notification to the customer of our intention to deliver, the furniture will be stored free of charge for 10 days. After that time we reserve the right to charge storage at the current market price.
Title
The title of the goods shall not pass to the customer until the full purchase price has been paid to the Company. All delivered goods are at the sole risk of the customer and in the event of being damaged, destroyed or lost after delivery, the Company shall be entitled to payment in full.
Claims
No claim for shortage or damage can be allowed unless we are notified within 3 days of delivery.
Fabrics
Whilst every effort is made to ensure close colour matching to pattern books, the colour and lay of the fabric may vary from dye batch to dye batch. If exact matching is required we will, if requested, supply samples. All velvets and chenilles will shade and crease, showing pressure marks through normal use; this is a characteristic of this type of cover.
Leather
Leather is a natural product and will, therefore, vary from the swatch. It is also possible that it may have marks such as scarring, wrinkles, insect bites, etc., which are part of the hide and are quite normal. Stitch lines may be in different places to those on a fabric covered chair.
Wood Colours?
Wood colours may vary from wood samples as each piece of wood takes stain differently and may show different markings of wood grain.
