Lifting Chairs

If you have difficulty getting in and out of conventional chairs, a lifting recliner can make a huge difference to your confidence and independence.

Lifting recliners come in a range of options, single motor, dual motor, tilt-in-space and variable angle lift.

Single Motor Chair

One motor controls all operations of the chair – recline and lift – operated by a simple 2-button handset.

Dual Motor Chair

Independent operation of the back and legrest – one motor controls the back and the other the legrest and chair lift.  Operated by a handset with 4 or 5 buttons.

Tilt in Space Chair

Tilt in Space Chair Movement

Tilt-in-space allows the chair to be tilted backwards whilst keeping the angle at the hip the same – usually around 110°. Tilting the body this way has the effect of distributing your body weight over a larger contact surface area and giving the feeling of “floating”.  Tilt-in-space can be incorporated into single or dual motor chairs.

Variable Angle Lift Chair

Variable Angle Lift (VAL) allows you to select the lift angle - 10°, 20° or 30°  - available for a limited number of chairs.
